Jannah Town {Poem}

Jannah Town
You stand in front of the majestic gate,

Eyes closed, lips pursed, head bowed you wait

Hand in hand with your loving mate,

You wait, and wait, and wait and wait

Heart beating fast, breath held tight

Knees tremble, feet set for flight

He commands with just his word

Gates open like the wings of a bird

Your mind dizzy begins to spin

You never thought that you would win

Right foot first both enter in unison

An explosion of colours and lights you envision

Cheers and celebrations all around,

By your welcome crowd in Jannah town

Your aisle is long and broad laid down

Upon a fragranced white musk ground

Smiling angels and servants line the lane

There’s even a cheer squad of al hoor al ayn

Music and songs sung about your success

In green silk and gold you’re suddenly dressed

Wardrobes filled with the latest fashion

Right inside your expensive mansion

You look instead to your loving wife

The most beautiful woman in paradise

You swing her around into your arms

No broken back, no hurt, no harm

Upon your thrones you both sit down

Looking at pleasures all around

Cups of silver, plates of gold

Thick, lush carpets there unfold

Water springs, strange new things

An amusement park with crystal swings

No boredom here, no hateful speech

Fruit hang low within your reach

You see him there standing tall,

In front of him you feel so small

The Prophet you followed proud of you

Peace upon him and his family too

You see him look at you and smile

You just enjoy this for a while

But best of all Allah is your friend

The reward he bestows will never end

You both are glad for your endeavour

In Jannah you live, forever and ever.
